Accident victim ID’ed through pet’s microchip

Score another win for high-tech: A woman who was walking her dog on Tuesday was struck and killed by a car and her identity was confirmed by the microchip implanted in her little terrier. Laura Huhn was walking her schnauzer in Fort Wayne, Indiana when she was accidently hit by Darrell Singleton while crossing the street. Although Huhn unfortunately died from her injuries, her pet escaped with only a broken pelvis, and Singleton was not charged with a crime.
